JoeNetworks Thanksgiving Wed. Update

Hi All,
Thanks to Katie and Claire for visiting with us recently.
Katie is looking for a marketing gig, or similar, and Claire
needs to top off the tank with a couple new accounting clients.
By the way Claire has done my books for 20 years. I highly
recommend her services.
NEXT MEETING - HOLIDAY WEDNESDAY.
According to the votes of those present last time, it looks like
there might be only a few of you meeting this next Wednesday.
Everybody else is heading out of town. Drive careful.

Pam has since updated that she will be filling orders instead.
That leaves Burt, Charlie and Sandy.
Cara said she 'might' stop by.
Some of these folks in particular drive a long way
to be in the group. Please know that and keep in
touch with each other if you change your mind.
On another note - thanks to all for giving feedback to Stan
on his marketing materials.
And Claire, a guest, won the kitty. She currently has no
marketing materials. Let's help her create something.
Details to follow.
THIS JUST IN - Bob Ford's schedule has recently changed.
He has a ton of morning meetings and will not be around for awhile.
Good luck with the meetings Bob and thanks for checking in.
Pat and I will be heading to mom's in Missouri for the holiday weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
See you at Benny's on Wed. Dec. 3rd.

JoeNetworks

Hi Gang,

I'd like to thank you for the time you took commenting,
critiquing and communicating with me as Your Message Doctor
at last Wednesday's session.

I have yet to triage the notes or consider the priority of
the notes I took. I do thank you once again.

This next week we're taking a peek at the presentation
of ideas on behalf of Stan Kosmatka.

Finally, Sandy emailed this lovely note to me right after
our Wednesday meeting. I do greatly appreciate the kind words.

"Once again, I'm so grateful for this group.
You have put together something quite special,
I thoroughly appreciate the friendly, supportive
atmosphere and the feedback from everyone is so
incredibly helpful.  I'm always impressed with
how well you manage to keep us all on track as
well, you're amazing." ~ Sandy  Walden

Finally, there was a member that's not feeling well and he
took a minute out to notify us of his absence.

Thanks. See you Wednesday. Invite a friend.

Another Interactive Tip on Business Cards

Jeff said he'd been in a group that shared the business cards of every member and then critiqued them. It sounds like there's potential value in that action. We might give it a whirl.

Sometimes people are not in a position to alter their card designs. Sometimes they are. We'll go with what we've got.

Thanks to Jeff Walden for that.

Interactive Networking Group

At many or most networking events we’ve been to, people get a half minute to 15 or 20 to tell their story. It’s the elevator speech - mostly presentation. Relatively low interactivity. After all, we’re supposed to be the experts. Right?

We know, or think we know, what it is we’re putting out there. Rarely do we get feedback on what anyone’s interpretation of our message was.

So, we did a very cool thing last week at JoeNetworks. We elected to to give feedback, ask questions, and brainstorm with a fellow member. We selected someone the week before and each of us took time in the intervening week to examine a presenter’s message and bring back what they got out of it.

And everyone had done that homework. Almost unbelievable.

Sandy was the first to to be selected and she set the bar really high. Her ability to hear, accept and balance, comments and critiques was amazing. I hope I do half as well when it’s my turn.

And, because I won the dollar pot, it is my turn next week.

So, tell me what you think. www.YourMessageDoctor.com

Be well,

David White

P.S. Here’s a wonderful email Sandy sent after the meeting.

Good morning,

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your very valuable input regarding my business presentation and website. It was very helpful to hear what others see, hear and think about when they come upon this information. All of your input will help to make my business stronger, I do thank you.

What a wonderful resource this networking group is! The size of this group and the personalities that attend definitely make this type of process possible. Definitely an advantage over a large group, at least in this respect.

I wish you all a day filled with positive encouragement and reinforcement such as you shared with me this morning,

Sandy :)
